Driving to Orlando is approximately 1050 miles from Cleveland and the trip will take about 16 hours, not including stops for rest and gas. If you plan on driving, we recommend breaking the drive up into a 1.5 day trip, stopping for the night in Brunswick, GA on the way down and Beckley, WV on the way back. Please let us know if driving is in your travel plans as multiple cars may prefer to caravan down to Orlando. Also, we will be posting rest stop and hotel recommendations for the journey here shortly.
Flying is, of course, the fastest way to get to Orlando and airlines like Continental offer direct flights to Orlando International Airport (MCO). Good airfare prices can be found, often ranging from $169-$199 round trip. We recommend searching for airfare 3-4 months prior for the best rates, but it doesn’t hurt to keep an eye on fares in advance in case a good deal comes along. If you fly in to MCO and stay at a WDW hotel, you can take advantage of Disney’s Magical Express (ME). ME will pick you and your luggage up at the airport, without ever needing to stop at baggage claim. Your bags magically appear in your room after you check in!
